Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25, as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world. I have recently celebrated this great festival, and for this topic, I would like to share my experience with you.
A thoughtful way to make this holiday remarkable is to make homemade dinner and serve homegrown food in the table, and we did just that during the last Christmas. We made homemade jams, baked cookies, pies, cakes, and bought candy, which is one of the most important parts of celebration this holiday. One holiday tradition is to make a little time to do something special for someone who needs a little extra help, and we did our best to follow this. We also decorated the X-mas tree and that was the most joyful part for the whole family during the Christmas holiday. We danced and sang Christmas songs together, enjoyed delicious food and visited a few relatives in our town. Finally, we watched two special Christmas holiday movies the night before.
I celebrated last Christmas with my family. My father, mother and two siblings had planned a big surprise for me. After I joined my family, they showed me a brand new homemade sweater with matching scarf, mittens and woollen cap. Each of the items was a Christmas gift from them to me. I was also prepared to surprise them as I brought gift items for all of them.
It’s a very special occasion for me because it brought joy and the power to transcend life’s struggles. It is the only joyful time of the year when we come together and take part in a family tradition everyone has a sense of belonging. This is so important for me because it helps me feel loved and express my love to my family. This celebration does not enclose family members only but friends and neighbours as well.
