You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have been living in a rented apartment for the last two years. Your rental agreement will expire in two months, but you want to extend it for another two years.
Write a letter to the rental agency. In your letter,
- introduce yourself
- say why you want to extend the contract
- mention what changes you would recommend in the contract
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.

My name is Kochi Phillips, and I live on the south block of your apartment complex. My apartment number is 331, and I live on the second floor. Now, I will tell you why I am exactly writing this letter.
Well, I am writing this letter because my rental agreement is about to expire after two months, and I need to extend it for another two years unless, of course, you have already made a commitment to another person. By the way, I want to renew the lease for another two years, primarily because the project, on which I was working, has been extended for a few more years. Besides, I also have started to have a liking for this place since it has such a nice, cool and calm atmosphere all around it, and since most of the residents, living here, are very friendly for the most part.
But before renewing my lease, please remember to include the following things in my lease: one, I will need two parking spaces instead of just one. Second, I am not going to use the mailbox facility of your apartment anymore.

The location, amenities, and maintenance have all contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable living experience for me. As a result, I am keen to continue residing in this apartment for another two years. It has truly become a place I consider as my home.
In terms of the contract itself, I would like to recommend a few changes. Firstly, I propose a 5-6% increase in the rental amount, taking into consideration the current market rates. Additionally, I suggest revisiting the clauses regarding maintenance responsibilities to ensure a fair and mutually beneficial arrangement.
I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to continue renting this apartment and look forward to discussing the extension of the contract further.
