Model Answer:
I love to visit new places and learn about the history, culture and uniqueness of all the places I can manage to visit. In fact, it would be not an exaggeration if I say that I feel a craving to visit different famous places all around the world; and that I have an unquenchable thirst to visit all the important and beautiful places in the world in my lifetime. I wish this dream of mine materialises someday! Today, for this nice topic that you have given me, I would like to talk about “Bali” in Indonesia, also known as the ‘Island of the Gods’- very rightfully so because of its unparalleled beauty, glamour and attractions.
Bali is a province in Indonesia and is located on the east of Java and west of Lombok. It includes the island of Bali and a few smaller other neighbouring islands. Often considered one of the few most stunningly beautiful places on earth and a paradise for surfers, this captivating island has the sheer natural beauty of looming volcanoes, terraced rice fields, serenity, luxurious beaches, exciting nightlife, intricately carved temples, caves, and a diverse marine life to witness and enjoy.
I went to this breathtakingly beautiful tourist attraction a couple of years ago – in November 2019 to be more precise. I went there because it was not far away from my home and I always wanted to visit Bali as a tourist. So when the opportunity appeared, I took a week’s leave from my work and travelled to this paradise island.
I spent some of the best days of my life on this island where I visited with my wife and my son. We did so many things and visited so many places in just 7 days that time seemed just flew away so fast. We went on surfing at least three times on different days, took a boat ride, visited some extraordinary temples and witnessed the ritual of the people of these temples, spent some lazy time at the beaches, did some shopping, enjoyed some exotic dishes, walked through the beaches, enjoyed the nightlife and the cultural richness of this island, and, of course, witnessed the diversity of culture and tradition there.
Bali was not like most other places that I have visited before. It has a unique charm that gives a very positive vibe to the visitors. It was like being inside “nature” while also observing a hub of people from all around the world who have a unique presence and way of life. It amalgamed beauty, culture, serenity and ceremonies perfectly to make it a true paradise.
