Model Answer:
I have completed several projects, growing up as a high school student. Some of those projects were really challenging while others were interesting and gratifying. But, for the purpose of this cue card topic today, I am going to talk about one of the interesting projects here.
When I worked on this project, I was a 9th-grade student at one of the best high schools in my country. And the project I was assigned to complete was to create a community garden from scratch. Initially, I thought that completing the project was going to be as easy as ‘walking in the park’, but when I actually started doing it, I found it to be frustrating as it involved getting some kind of permission from the city government.
But, once I got through to that initial phase of securing approval, things like creating the fence, developing and manuring the soil, and planting the flower trees got easier and more interesting. In fact, I got a lot of helping hands not only from some of my classmates, who initially mocked me (in a friendly way, of course) for choosing that physically-demanding project but also from some of my kind neighbours and friends. Besides, seeing how hard I, along with my friends and classmates, was working to make that community garden, some local sponsors (like local shops and businesses) unexpectedly came to help us with money and refreshments as they also like my ideas and work. They even encouraged us to design the garden in the shape of our neighbourhood, and I just loved the idea and implemented it!
Anyway, this project was indeed very interesting because it taught me some of the practical issues and challenges of the real world, like dealing with bureaucracy and people management. I also found it interesting because I felt really involved with my project work as if it was a part of my family, which I never felt before! Besides, being able to depict the map of my entire neighbourhood in the garden was such a sense of achievement that I will never forget!
