You should say:
and explain why this is your favourite season.
[You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. You have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.]
Model Answer 1:
The world is a beautiful place, as it is, with all of its natural treasures if we have a positive view of life and the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us since the day we were born. But, in reality, we humans simply can’t get past our biased attitudes and behaviour despite our best efforts, having preferences over a group of people over others or a particular place over another. In this way, therefore, if I am tempted to look upon a particular season more favourably than others, I have a feeling that mother nature will forgive me for loving “autumn” a bit more than other seasons. Thank God that we are only humans, for we won’t get chastised for being biased!
So, anyway, why do I love autumn? Well…duh… isn’t it obvious as to why? Doesn’t our mother earth take a mesmerizing look during this very autumn season with the changing colours of the leaves and trees? Yes, it does, and that’s exactly why I take out my little camera to capture the breathtaking scenery while feeling the soothingly-crunching sounds of the leaves under my feet. Of course, if you were like me, you would probably not stop at just capturing these picture-perfect sceneries but also save them for the future to remind you of your good olden days. The not-too-cold-weather of autumn with fresh air and sunny weather also gives us the urge to spend a few extra hours outdoors unless we are too busy to enjoy what mother nature has to offer. And, if you are rich as well as fashion-junky at the same time, you will probably want to hit your favourite shopping mall in order to buy yourselves some new and comfy-looking jackets, boots, coats, scarves and hats to prepare for the onslaught of a bitter winter, unless, of course, the Antarctic is your favourite continent full of ice.
But, alas, all good things must end just as this autumn season will end when it hides behind its sister “winter” after roaming onto this mother earth fearlessly for only a few months, depending on where we live. Where I live, autumn starts in September and ends in November even though I always wish that I could prolong this beautiful season so that I could enjoy it a little longer. But, unfortunately, we can’t really do much to defy the law of nature. Can we? Until next time, I will try to enjoy the autumn while I can!

Introduction:
Humans, all over the world, have many similar feelings, dreams, interests, emotions, likings and dislikings, yet when it comes to having personal choices and preferences, we have many striking differences. So regarding our favourite season, we are often divided in our opinion, and we all have our reasons. For this topic, I would like to talk about my favourite season.
What it is:
My favourite season is the rainy season (also known as the wet season). It might sound strange to many, but it is the season I enjoy the most.
What changes this season brings:
In our country, the rainy season comes just after summer. Summer is a time of extreme heat and humidity, and nature looks quite rough and destructive. The storm hits many areas in our country, and despite some benefits of the summer season, I wait eagerly for this season to end. Then comes the rainy season with the divine magnificence of rain and renewed hope with greenery everywhere. Many call it the green season since nature reappears with refreshing green all around us during this time. Not to mention, the average rainfall is highest during this season, and the air quality significantly improves.
How long it lasts:
In our country, the rainy season lasts for two months, unlike the summer or winter- both of which last for more than three months each. I wish the rainy season would have been a bit longer!
And explain why this is your favourite season:
The rainy season is my favourite because it comes with celestial rain that makes everything around us greener, fresher and better. The air quality makes it the best time to breathe in some refreshing air and enjoy the outdoors when it does not rain. It is also the season that brings soothing feelings after the unbearable heat of summer. Personally, I enjoy rain a lot, and perhaps, this makes it my favourite season.
A year has mainly four seasons, and each one is distinctive. They greatly vary based on where we experience the season. The four seasons are “summer”, “winter”, “spring”, and “autumn”.
Here we will try to give brief details of each of these seasons with the changes they bring. We will also try to give a few details so that you can talk about why a particular season is your favourite.
Summer:
Summer is a hot season. During this season, temperature increases, and, it is, in fact, the hottest season in the year. Summer is associated with dry weather, drought and camping. Tropical cyclones hit some parts of the world, and heavy rain, thunderstorms and storms are often common in this season. This is also the season for different fruits as many countries enjoy delicious fruits that are common only in summer. With many schools closed, this is often the favourite season of many, especially youngsters. It is also a favourable season for people who dislike chilling cold and enjoy outdoor activities like swimming, surfing, water skiing and so on. In western countries, travel and vacationing tend to peak in the summer season.
Winter:
Winter season often brings chill, snow and cold. Animals find their distinctive ways to keep warm during this season, and people wear heavy and warm costumes when they go outside. This is the coldest season in the year and is sandwiched by the autumn and spring seasons. During the winter, the length of the day decreases – which causes longer nights. Migrations among many bird species and butterflies can also be observed during this season. Hibernation is also common among animals in this season. People who hate hot and humid weather, and enjoy snow love this season the most. Many festivals also take place in this season, and people enjoy them a lot with friends and relatives.
Spring:
In many countries, the spring season is called the queen of all seasons as nature is at its best during this season. In this season, seeds take root and important vegetation begins to grow. Trees also shed old leaves and have new and fresh leaves to give nature a vibrant look and feel. Since it comes after a chilling winter, animals wake from hibernation or return from migrations with newborns. Thus, the spring season is the time for renewal, rejuvenation, resurrection and regrowth. In many parts of the world, where it snows during the winter, it begins to melt at the beginning of the spring. The temperature begins to warm and this gives birth to many new plants. Many flower plants bloom in this season and give mother nature a refreshing and heavenly look.
Autumn:
During autumn (also known as fall), the temperature starts to cool again, and animals and plants begin to prepare for the upcoming winter. The weather is mostly soothing, as it is neither too hot nor too cold, and many people love it due to this reason. In many parts of the world, various cultures celebrate bountiful harvests of autumn, and many different festivals of joy take place.
