You should say:
and explain how you felt when the person/they visited your house.
[You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. You have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.]
Model Answer:
If I remember correctly, my father built our house in one corner of the city, a bit too far away from the city centre, in order to avoid the normal city crowd and noise. Perhaps, that’s why, we don’t get to see as many guests or visitors as we would like to see, visiting our house, probably because they don’t like to travel that far to visit us unless, of course, there is a valid reason to do so. However, we recently got lucky to have some guests at our house.
Actually, I shouldn’t have called them guests because they were actually my close relatives. In fact, they are the whole family of my elder aunt (from my father’s side) and her whole family, including her husband and children.
Initially, I couldn’t believe that it was actually my aunt because she hardly ever likes to go out. In fact, she is also of quiet nature like her brother (my father), and she also likes to avoid the hassle of city crowd and noise, and that’s exactly why she likes to live in the countryside.
Anyway, the reason, for which, she decided to remember (putting it jokingly, of course) her brother, was a rather important one, as she wanted to sell a piece of her land, adjacent to the land of my father so that she could invest some money to remodel a rather old house of her. Anyway, for whatever reason was that they decided to visit us, we were all glad that they came as it allowed us to enjoy some great time together by visiting some great restaurants, a few century-old landmarks, and pebble sandy beaches of one of the biggest rivers of my country.
At the end of their visit, I felt really glad and happy that my aunt and her family came to visit us because I hadn’t really seen her in a long, long time. Besides, it also allowed me to recall some great old memories of my time when growing up with my cousins. Above all, it was also a great family reunion for a good brother and a good sister.
