Model Answer:
I am not exactly a “flower” person, but I know what kind of flowers I really like, when I see them. And, I like them when they are still attached to the flower plants. But, there is one particular kind of flower, I like, whether it is attached to the plants or kept in a beautiful flower vase.
I am talking about “daisies”, which I consider to be one of the most beautiful flowers in the world, have mystified and mesmerized many flower lovers around the world with their captivating looks and beauty. Some even suggest that it is the 5th most popular flower in the world. They come in so different colours that it is almost impossible not to like them. They even may seem like the simplest of the flowers, but they are not really as simple as they look. For example, they have two types of petals: one is called the ray petals which spread out in a ring. The other type is “tubular disc petals” which conveniently sits in the middle of the ray petals. However, these petals may vary in colour and proportions, depending on the type of “daisy plant” on which they grow.
These daisy flowers are really special because, unlike many other flowers, they open up during the daylight and close up at dark. They are also special in a sense that they are edible and they are used to make some traditional medicines. These flowers are also very versatile because they can survive and thrive in nearly any tough condition.
Anyway, daisy is my favourite flower, primarily because they are nature’s way of comforting us, with their beautiful and “smiley’ faces, that even though there are tons of bad things in this world, there still are daisies, the ultimate expression of cheerfulness and joy. It is my favourite flower also because it comes in every colour except blue. Finally, it is also my favourite because some of them stay fresh in a vase from 5 to 10 days, which may not be the case with other flowers.
