Dear ……………,
Model Answer:
Dear Mr Eric,
Hope you are doing fine. I am Robert Daley and I had been a tenant to your Burberry street resident for a year. I used to live in apartment 4E and left it on 1st March. Before leaving the apartment I asked you to kindly inspect it and inform me of any damage, and to my best knowledge, there was none. You did not inform me about anything either. Now I am writing to you to kindly return the deposit amount which is $1500.
I asked you to return me the deposit one week before leaving your flat, but you told me that it would take two more weeks. So I am reminding you about your commitment and expecting that you would return me $1500 as agreed upon in our tenant agreement. You can either deposit the money to my bank account or call me to collect it from your house at your convenience.
I am quite positive that you are not holding the money with the false pretext of repair work. Has this been the case, I would be left with no other choice but to take legal actions against you after waiting exactly two weeks from today.
Hope we can solve the problem amicably and maintain our good relationship.
Yours faithfully,
Robert Daley
