Model Answer:
An increasing number of companies and people are opting for technology to communicate with others. The main benefits of using technology are improved customer relations and eradication of cultural gaps; however, the key drawbacks are job insecurity and cultural hegemony.
One significant advantage of using technology in the workplace is that it promotes customer relations. In simple words, leading-edge technologies allow users to provide real-time supports. This, in turn, establishes strong relations with consumers and prospective buyers. For example, many companies have adopted “callbots” on their websites which can understand client intentions in a natural language and produce a precise response in terms of a particular context, thereby developing intimate customer relationships. Furthermore, technology can also eliminate cultural gaps. With the help of the internet, people from different social backgrounds can easily communicate with each other, allowing the exchange of views and ideas. Consequently, using technology helps to bridge cultural differences.
Having said that, using technology also causes a lack of job security. Since technology keeps on transforming, job security has become vulnerable. For instance, IT experts need to learn continuously to keep up with the changes so as to retain their jobs. Another drawback is that it helps to overrule cultures. While people can easily exchange their notions and views, some dominant cultures are likely to consume others. Teenagers in western societies, for example, have profoundly influenced many teenagers in the other parts of the globe on how they behave, act and dress. Thus, using technology as a medium of communication has also negative aspects.
To conclude, using technology can cement strong customer relations by providing real-time solutions and bridging cultural gaps. However, job security becomes very vulnerable to changes in communication technologies and dominant cultures can manipulate others since technology causes easy interaction.

Modern technology improves communication between individuals both in business and social areas and has tremendous positive impacts in both personal and professional arenas. At the same time, it possesses hidden drawbacks and has the potential to damage the whole work process and an individual's social life. This essay discusses both the advantages and demerits of using technology to communicate rather than in-person communications.
The benefits of using modern cutting-edge devices to communicate both in workplaces and homes are obvious. Nowadays, employees who work in different parts of the world have the opportunity to communicate with each other by using interactive platforms like Skype or Viber and working on international projects and sharing information between branches by using social media platforms. This allows both business structures and ordinary employees to create useful contacts and work collaboratively in order to meet all crucial milestones. Eventually, current advancement in technology creates one solid, connected society, while at the same time creating additional remuneration for both company owners and their employees.
However, digital communication, at the same time, has big negative impacts on businesses and society. To begin with, information that is shared with colleagues who work in different branches, are prone to vulnerabilities of being stolen, hacked or misused. Moreover, ordinary individuals who often use various portable devices in order to communicate with their friends and relatives might overload their central neurons system by the range of useful and useless information, which eventually lead to the development of different neurological disorders. These options might range from light anxiety and depression to tunability of the brain to comprehend complex knowledge.
In conclusion, online business and social communications have both advantages and disadvantages. It is expected that we would avoid the negative impacts of online communication and reap its advantages both in our professional and personal life.
