We often come around people who argue that having house and workplace neat and clean with everything organized and in the proper place is utterly crucial. I entirely agree with this view as this habit can positively affect people’s life and performance.
Firstly, keeping home and office room neat and tidy helps people know what resources they have. When people live in an untidy condition, they most likely fail to find important belongings in case of emergency. Take my case as an example. When I was untidy during my college days, I used to look everywhere in my room for a proper dress or my watch when going out with family. It happened frequently and sometimes I bought a new shirt, only to find out later that I had a better one to match the pant! In fact, keeping house and workplace tidy will let people know what things they have and therefore they do not need to rummage around in their desk. Secondly, it saves valuable time since people know where to find their stuff when they require it.
Thirdly, living in an organised home and working in an orderly workplace brings about positive motivations. Psychologists suggest that long term habits become a part of someone’s character over time, and tidying people’s place also tidies up their mind. According to psychological studies, an untidy room is an epitome of disorganized mental state. So to bring positive changes in our life, we should go straight ahead with organizing and cleaning our living and working space.
In conclusion, keeping a clean and organized space to live or work in creates a dramatic change in our life, and by organising our home and office we can reap many benefits while we have nothing to lose.
