Model Answer:
I have been lucky to have some good people around me as friends and relatives who have helped me on a number of occasions with many things. Some of them helped me because they really cared for me while others did so because I also helped them in return at some point of time. Anyway, today, I would like to talk about a person who helped me with an important item (important because of the circumstance) because he really cared for me.
The person, I am talking about, was a distant cousin of mine. Even though I am using the word “distant” here, there was nothing “distant” about our brotherly relationship. In fact, we grew up together in the same place, and we were of the same age. Naturally, we had a very good understanding with each other. We even studied at the same university.
Anyway, Wong Lee, my cousin once helped me with his own jacket on a very cold winter morning when I needed to travel to another city because I needed to attend a job interview. By the way, I had my own jacket, but incidentally, I just had washed it the previous day, and it wasn’t fully dried up to wear the morning when I needed to travel. It is also worth mentioning here that there was no washing machine or dryer at my home back then nor did we have any luxury bus to ride, equipped with any heater, where I lived. So, that winter jacket actually proved out to be a lifesaver for me on that cold winter morning because, without that, I would certainly get sick before even reaching the interview board.
Anyway, after getting that winter jacket from my cousin, I felt really grateful to him because, after all, it helped me avoid the bone-chilling cold as well as not getting sick because of extreme cold. Besides, it helped me to attend an interview which eventually led me to find a new and better job. Finally, I actually thanked almighty for keeping me in the company of such a kind and helpful person like my cousin.
