Dear Sir or Madam,
Model Answer 1:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I travelled from Southampton to London by a plane owned by British Airways last week. I enjoyed my journey, as I often do with your airline, but was disappointed to find that my suitcase was lost. I am hoping to hear an update regarding this.
In relation to the specifics of the flight, I travelled from the Southampton Airport on June 24th and my plane left the terminal at 14:30 and reached the London Stansted Airport at around 16:25. My flight number was BA2597A and I travelled first class. After I arrived at London Airport, I was informed that my suitcase was lost! I immediately contacted the Airport’s lost and found division and British Airways, and they assured me that I will be contacted once they find my suitcase. But I have not heard anything since then!
The suitcase that I lost was black in colour and it was made by Pierre Cardin. It is a medium-size suitcase, common among executives and business people. The contents of the suitcase include an iMac Pro, a notebook that bears my name, some important papers, a few dresses of mine and a few gift items.
I lodged a complaint at the airport a week ago and have not heard anything which worries me. I hope you would inform me the update of the suitcase at your earliest and send it to my office address once found.
Yours faithfully,
Patrick Brown
Sample Answer 2:
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am Lisa Ray, took a flight from the Valencia Airport, Spain to Brisbane Airport, Australia on 21st May. Regrettably, my suitcase was lost and despite my search for an hour, it was nowhere! I lodged a written complaint at the Luggage Claim Office and at your Airline office, but have not received any update as of now.
In relation to the suitcase, it is made of leather and brown in colour and has a leather handle at the top. Moreover, it has my name inscribed on the back side. My flight number was BS-9854D and my Luggage Claim No. is 65874DS.
A few necessary documents, a laptop, an iPad, a personal diary, and some clothes were in the suitcase. The printed documents and files in the laptop are quite important for me.
A week has already passed since I registered the complaint but I am yet to get any response from your office. I am really concerned about the suitcase and would like to know what is going on. Please inform me when I can expect to hear from you about my lost suitcase.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours Faithfully.
Lisa Ray
