This demonstrates how the content of certain television programmes can shape children’s behaviour and attitudes in undesirable ways.

Channels like Discovery Kids and National Geographic provide informative and engaging content that introduces children to various subjects, such as science, nature, history, and culture. These programmes can spark children’s curiosity, expand their knowledge, and foster a love for learning. Moreover, certain programmes, such as Sesame Street, have demonstrated significant educational benefits. Backed by extensive research, Sesame Street effectively combines entertainment and education, teaching children essential skills like literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, and social-emotional development.
